This course offers an introduction to Occupational Safety and Health Technology, particularly accidents and effects that are commonly occurred in industry. The examples of occupational safety and health standards will be introduced. Theory of industrial accident causation will be described. This course will focus on the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of potential hazards from fire, chemical and toxic, fall, material handling, noise and hearing, machinery, electrical safety, and thermal stress. In addition, students are required to work on a group project related to safety practice in industry.
